1. The name/masthead of my magazine.
I was confused while keeping a name for my magazine so in my questionnaire I asked the women on their advice to choose between 3 different names which I finalised : Aurora, Fashionology and The official and most of the people picked Aurora therefore I went with their choice.
2. Concluding what appeals to the audience.
I wanted to see what factor appeals to the reader the most: if it was the cover page, contents page or the price. By the result, I found that they choose if they want to buy the magazine or not by looking at the cover page. So I focused on the cover the most and inserted a main image with a really good clarity which attracts the audience.
3. The colour.
I asked them if they want the magazine to be very colourful or just simple and elegant and every single person said that they want it to be simple and elegant which determines their age so in my magazine, I don't use too much colour, just 2 or 3.
4. Text or picture?
I asked them "Do you prefer text based or picture based article?" and mostly they said pictures which made me insert more pictures than texts in my magazine especially the double sheet spread as I inserted more than 10 images.
5. Monthly, daily or weekly?
My magazine is a monthly issue since almost everyone i asked said they read the monthly magazines and the least said they read daily ones. That's why in my cover page I inserted the date as "February 2017" determining it to be a monthly issue.
6. Content of International beauty and trends.
I asked them "Would you read a new women’s magazine mainly focusing on international beauty and trends?" and they all said yes so my double sheet spread is all about international fashion as I have images from different fashion shows : a carnival one, indian ethnic wear and the black and white fusion.
7. Finding their purpose.
Audience said that their main purpose of buying a fashion magazine is to get fashion information as well as to get tips on dressing and make up so my issue features things which express these two.
